Fall Retreat 2008

Dates: Friday, October 31st  Sunday, November 2nd

Arrive & Departure:  Check in and Registration will be Friday Night from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M.  You’ll be free to leave by noon on Sunday.

Location: Camp Algonquin, Algonquin IL

Transportation: The camp is just a few miles from the Carey Metra stop.  Arrangements will be made to get Metra riders from the stop to the camp and back.  Click Here for Metra Information.

Drivers should note that the camp is about 45 miles from downtown Chicago and should plan on a two hour drive in Chicago rush hour traffic. Click here for a road map.

Price: $75 for upperclassmen, $50 for freshmen

Main Speaker – Rick James

Rick James has served for ten years as a Campus Crusade for Christ regional director and is the author of Jesus Without Religion (IVP 2007) and co-author of Porn Nation (Moody 2007).  He’s currently serving as Publisher of Cru Press creating ministry resources.  Rick is a graduate of Syracuse University and has a Masters in Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He lives in Westchester PA with his wife of 23 years Katie, and their three kids Avery, Whitney, and Will.

Worship Leader – Andy McKay

Growing up just 45 minutes south of Chicago, Andy McKay will be returning to the land of his youth where he spent school field trips at the Museum of Science and Industry and Shedd Aquarium.  Andy has had the opportunity to lead worship for about 15 years including many Fall Retreats and two Indy Christmas Conferences.  He will be joined by friends Chris Tyrpak, Jason Gregory, and Jeremy Lee who have also been involved with Campus Crusade playing at Retreats and Conferences.   Andy currently lives in Huntington Beach, CA where he lives with his wife Amy and two boys, Skylar who is 6 and Sharkey who is quite a handful at 2.
